Can I find the owner's name with just an address?
Usually in two steps. First we find the property's full title details from your address. Then a land search shows the registered owner. We cannot guarantee we will find the title details for every property, see Good to Know below.
What information do I need to provide?
Any one of these is enough to start: a Google Pin, the address, the lot, mukim and daerah, or Google Map coordinates.
How long does the pre-check take?
We update you by email in 3-5 working days. It can take longer if there are complications during the preliminary check.
How much does it cost?
The pre-check stage is free of charge, and we send you a quotation after it. The search stage starts from RM200 per lot, or from RM250 per lot for Selangor. A land search is charged separately.
What if you cannot find the title details?
For Selangor, if the search stage is unsuccessful, we refund based on the progress of the case and give you a partial result: lot no, Bandar/Pekan/Mukim, Daerah, State, official plan and Google image. The refund takes 7 working days to process.
How long does the search stage take?
For Selangor properties, the investigation can take up to 1 month, depending on your case.
Is this the same as a land search?
No. Title Number Finder finds the property's title details. A land search then gives you the report on that title, including the registered owner. You can submit a land search request here.
Good to Know
- We investigate the title information of this specific property, and there may not be any documented proof provided.
- We do not guarantee that we can get the full title details. In some cases only limited information can be collected, and the investigation then has to stop.
- There is no fixed deadline for the investigation. It may take up to several weeks or months, and we will notify you if we hit a dead end with no further leads.
- We run a preliminary check on the address before proceeding with your case. This check is free of charge.
- The title information might not be the latest, because the land office may not have updated its system.
